Science friction


Science it seems really is in trouble.

An interesting article on a similar theme to my own posts on post-truth politics.

In a long article for the New Atlantis Daniel Sarewitz discusses the current crisis of confidence in the scientific community.

In other developments the government has effectively bowed to the constitutional doctrine of parliamentary sovereignty. Following mounting pressure from a coherent and well-organised opposition it has been accepted that Brexit plans will have to be discussed in the Commons, in some capacity.

And with Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP putting a 2nd referendum bill out for consultation, there’s going to be a lot to discuss…..
